Prayer Diary, December.

1^st: We pray for residents of Albertine Close. Charles de Foucault, Writer, Hermit. 1858. We pray for the nations of the world, and we pray for relief for those in need.

2^nd: We pray for residents of Barnfield’s. We pray for justice and integrity in world trade. We pray for our Congregation, our Ministry Team and our PCC.

3^rd: We pray for residents of Chapel Rd. Francis Xavier, Missionary 1552. We pray for Tots, Bright’s, Bruce’s Crew and our Uniformed Groups.

4^th: We pray for residents of Damask Rd. Nicholas Ferrar, Deacon and Founder of the Little Gidding Community, 1592. We pray for those who feel isolated and those who are not well enough to attend services in church.

5^th: We pray for residents of Ewan Close. We pray for the work of Food Banks that they continue to receive sufficient donations. We pray for those suffering from malnutrition.

6^th: We pray for residents of Halstead Rd. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra, 326ad. We pray for all children, especially those in need, the homeless and those living in poverty.

7^th: We pray for residents of Jubilee Close. Ambrose, Bishop of Milan, 317ad. We pray for our Ladies’ Fellowship, for the work of the Mothers’ Union, both at home and abroad.

8^th: We pray for residents of Kale Croft. Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We pray for our Baptism families and all who will be Baptised in the future.

9^th: We pray for residents of London Rd. We pray for Children’s charities: NSPCC, Rainbow Trust for the terminally ill, Palliative Care Hospices and Childline.

10^th: We pray for residents of Marram Close. Ember Day. We pray for those discerning their future in Ministry.

11^th: We pray for residents of Musk Close. We pray for peace and for all affected by war and war crimes. We pray for the work of the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.

12^th: We pray for residents of Nursery Close. We pray for the Chaplaincy Team at Stansted Airport. We pray for al who work there and all who pass through.

13^th: We pray for residents of Osier Close. Lucy, Martyr at Syracuse.304ad. We pray for Community Outreach Projects.

14^th: We pray for residents of Ploughman’s Headland. John of the Cross, Poet, Teacher 1591. We pray for school Carol Services and end of term Celebrations.

15^th: We pray for residents of Robin Crescent. We pray for our King and members of the Royal Family.

16^th: We pray for residents of Shepherd’s Croft. We pray for our Prime Minister, Members of Parliament, those working in Local Government and all in positions of Authority.

17^th: We pray for residents of Threshers End. Eglantyne Jebb, Social Reformer and Founder of Save the Children Fund. 1928ad. We pray for the work of the Save the Children Fund, both at home and abroad.

18^th: We pray for residents of Woodrush End. Flannan, Missionary and Pilgrim. He was a missionary pilgrim who travelled by land and water to witness to Christ. He died 640ad.

19^th: We pray for residents of Tudor Rose Close. We pray that we move beyond racism and that we avoid situations of racial discrimination.

20^th: We pray for residents of Foxendale Folley.   At the end of the school term, we pray that families will enjoy time together during the holiday.

21^st: We pray for residents of Holly Rd. We pray for the work of the Ambulance Service, the Police, Social Workers and the Diocesan Safeguarding Team.

22^nd: We pray for residents of Jackdaw Drive. We pray for all who are preparing for marriage. We pray for retired Clergy who live and continue serve within the Diocese.

23^rd: We pray for residents of Juniper Close. We pray for all Carers and for people in Residential Care Homes, especially our friends in Loganberry Lodge.

24^th: We pray for residents of King Coel Rd. We give thanks for the work of Doctors, Nurses and all who work within the National Health Service.

25^th: Christmas Day. The Nativity of our Lord in Bethlehem. “Peace on Earth” Grant peace to us all, peace in the world, peace in our homes and peace in our hearts, this Christmastide.

26^th: We pray for residents of Lambourne Close. Stephen, Deacon and First Martyr. We pray for all who are lonely and for those who are in hospital.

27^th: We pray for residents of Lakeside Walk. John, Apostle and Evangelist. We pray for our loved ones, departed and for those who mourn.

28^th: We pray for residents of Laurence Byrne Avenue. Holy Innocents Day, when Herod ordered all male children under the age of two to be killed. We pray for all children who are maltreated, abused or living in unhappy homes.

29^th: We pray for residents of Montbretia Close. Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, Martyr. 1170.. We pray for our Choir, those who care for the hall and those who clean the church.

30^th: We pray for residents of Oatfield Close. Tathan, Abbot, who established one of the most famous monastic Schools in Wales. We pray for our Office Administrator and all who distribute the weekly bulletin.

31^st: We pray for residents of Old Chapel Drive. John Wycliff, Reformer. He translated the Bible into contemporary English. We give thanks that we can read the Bible inour own language.
