Prayer Diary.   November.

1^st: We pray for residents of Damask Close. All Saints’ Day. We give thanks for the saints who have inspired us. May we be an inspiration to others.

2^nd: We pray for residents of Musk Close. All Souls’ Day. Commemoration of the Faithful Departed. We pray for those who mourn and remember their loved ones. We commend our friends and loved ones who have departed from us.

3^rd: We pray for residents of Sweet Briar Rd. Richard Hooker, Priest, teacher of the Faith. 1600ad. We pray for the British Legion and the Poppy Appeal.

4^th: We pray for residents of Peace Rd. We pray for COP 27, Climate Change Conference. May we all show respect for the earth, conservation and caring for the planet.

5^th: We pray for residents of Marram Close. We pray for governments around the world. May you guide them to make right decisions.

6^th: We pray for residents of Woodrush End. Leonard, Hermit in 6^th century. William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury. He is remembered for his concern with social issues and welfare provision. We pray for our local churches of all denominations.

7^th: We pray for residents of Lucy Lane North. Help us to see how we need each other and to share the talents you give us. We pray for coffee mornings, the choir, servers and those who clean the church.

8^th: We pray for residents of Spring Sedge Close. The Saints and Martyrs of England. We pray for all who work in the Emergency Services and provide 24-hour care. We pray for their Chaplains.

9^th: We pray for residents of Lucy Close. Margery Kempe, Mystic. 15^th century. We pray for all who are unemployed or have been made redundant.

10^th: We pray for residents of Lucy Lane South. Leo, the Great, Bishop of Rome. 461ad. He spoke of the humility of Christ (1Peter 5v1-11) We pray for students at all stages of their education, especially those with mental problems and those who are suicidal. We pray for organisations seeking to help them.

11^th: We pray for residents of Ewan Way. Bishop of Tours 397ad. Armistice Day. We remember all who have died or been wounded in wars and conflicts. May we strive for a more peaceful world.

12^th: We pray for residents of Dawnford Court. We pray for all organisations which seek to bring relief to victims of war. We for the work of the British Legion and Poppy Appeal.

13^th: We pray for residents of Rugosa Close. Charles Simeon, Priest, 1836. One of the Founders of Church Missionary Society (CMS). We pray for our Royal Family.

14^th: We pray for residents of Christopher Garnett Chase. We pray for the hungry, the homeless, for the work of Food Banks and Night Shelter. We pray for families in need.

15^th: We pray for residents of Jubilee Close. We pray for our own families and friends. We pray for our Youth Groups, Rainbows and Brownies.

16^th: We pray for residents of Rambler Close. Margaret, Queen of Scotland, a Reformer, 1093. She founded Monasteries and Pilgrim Hostels. We pray for those who will be Baptised in our church and their families.

17^th: We pray for residents of Albertine Walk. Bishop of Lincoln 1200ad.  We pray for those preparing for Marriage and those whose Banns will be called in Church.

18^th: We pray for residents of Rowan Close. Elizabeth of Hungary. Philanthropist. 1231. She cared for the poor and provided them with meals. We pray for all organisations providing meals for those in need.

19^th: We pray for residents of Tollgate Drive. Hilda, Abbess of Whitby, 614-680ad. She established Monasteries and Centres of learning. Bless our homes: may they be places of love and hospitality.

20^th: We pray for residents of Frensham Close. Edmund, King of East Angles, Martyr 840-845ad. World Children’s Day. We pray for all children, especially refugees and those who are not in loving homes.

21^st: We pray for residents of Foxendale Folley. We pray for all who serve your church: bishops, priests, lay ministers. May they nourish your people through teaching, worship and pastoral care.

22^nd: We pray for residents of Cowslip Court. St Cecilia 592ad. Patron Saint of Music. We give thanks for the joy of music. We pray for Musicians, our Organist and Church Choir.

23^rd: We pray for residents of Cornflower Close. Clement, bishop of Rome, 100ad. Martyr. We pray for all who are unwell, afraid for the future and still suffering from “Long Covid.”

24^th: We pray for residents of Rosemary Alms Houses. We pray for our PCC, Standing Committee and Church Officers. Shoebox-Operation, Christmas Child; we pray for all who fill boxes and those who collect and deliver them.

25th: We pray for residents of Winstree Rd. Isaac Watts, Hymn Writer, 1674.”When I survey the Wondrous Cross.” We pray for the work of the Children’s Society, NSPCC and the Samaritans.

26^th: We pray for residents of New Farm Rd. We pray for all who are in residential care homes. We pray especially for those who are in Loganberry Lodge and for their weekly Communion Service.

27^th: We pray for residents of Egremont Way. We pray for all areas of the world suffering from floods, storms, fire or earthquakes. We pray for all rescue agencies.

28^th: We pray for residents of Hyena Drive. Eleanor of Castile, Queen Consort of Edward 1^st (1290ad.) We pray for those in hospital, hospices and those awaiting tests or treatment.

29^th: We pray for residents of Straight Rd. Thanksgiving for the Missionary work of the Church. We give thanks for those who travel to remote parts of the world to preach the Gospel.

30^th: We pray for residents of Tudor Rose Close. St Andrew, the Apostle. Patron Saint of Scotland. He travelled on several missionary journeys and was eventually martyred. We pray for all who proclaim the Gospel.
